About Mitos

Narrative, acritic, love songs and folk fables unravel the Mitos* from the past up to the present. Stories about heroic exploits, love stories, long journeys, fights against dragons and demons. Stories like the fairy tales we 've been told by our grandmothers. As the song says: "You eat and drink, my Lords, and I'm going to narrate..."

*Mitos, according to greek mythology, is the ball of thread which Ariadne gave to Theseus, so that he could find his way out of the Minotaur's labyrinth.

From the very far end

The title “From the very far end” is deliberate: everybody has to start from somewhere and concerning the traditional music and poetry of Greece, the starting point should be from the beginning. I’m not sure if the Acritic Songs are wellknown and popular nowadays, but what I do know is that they are the basis of the traditional music of Greece, as well as the basis of modern Greek literature and poetry.

Vamos Art and Thought aims to record, as a producer, lots of this good music happening out there and which, usually, can’t find its way to the audience. Not only traditional music of Greece, but all the music that makes us better human beings!
